Layton is 4 months!

Another month has gone by, sweet boy! This has been a BIG month for you! You have gained almost 2 lbs this month. You weighed 14 lbs 13 oz (50%) and were 25 1/4 inches (70%) at your check-up on Friday. You are a good little eater. You still nurse about every 3 hours but I think you about ready to go 3 1/2. I think we will start some cereal here pretty soon!

You are such a pleasant little baby. You are an absolute joy. You love your momma and give me lots and lots of smiles! You have started paying more attention to Lincoln. You just watch him and smile. I so hope you guys are pals one day.

We put you in your little chair thing. I don't know what it is called but I really like it. The tray turns and has lots of toys around it. The seat is like a bumbo, but turns into a booster seat later. You didn't know what to think of it at first and are able to sit in it better as the weeks have gone by.

I love how you clasp your hands together. It is so sweet. This month you really started playing with your hands. You chew on them alot. You can hold things now, but aren't great at it yet. You are becoming more interested in toys every day.

You are wearing mostly 3-6 months clothes right now. Still in size 1-2 diapers. You are losing some of your hair, but still have quite a bit. I love how it sticks up. Your eyes are still blue and so many people think your eyes look like Hannah's. Dr. Byrum was looking at you the other day and couldn't believe how much you looked liked your sister. I get that alot.

You like taking a bath. You are about to outgrow our baby bathtub. I'm really looking forward to putting you in the tub with the other kids when you can sit up!

You are sleeping pretty well still. I usually feed you between 6 and 7 p.m. and then put you down to sleep between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. I will do a dream feed around 10:00 p.m. which you pretty much sleep through. You usually sleep till about 5:30 a.m. We still have some nights where you wake up and need to eat sooner, but that is the usual schedule. It actually works pretty well with my schedule since I have to leave the house around 7:30 a.m. to take Hannah to school. I just feed you when I get home or if I'm running errands, I'll feed you in the car. We do quite a bit of feeding in the car these days. Crazy times.

When we are home in the mornings, you will sometimes take a good 2 hour nap. Then you nap again around 1:00 for maybe an hour and a half or till it is time to pick up Hannah at 3:30. Mind you, this is on a good day. You usually take another late afternoon nap. You are great to just let me put you down in bed and you fall asleep. I am so thankful for this!

I took this picture one afternoon after I had put you down on the couch for a second so I could put a load of laundry in. When I came back to get you, you had fallen asleep and were just a snoring. It was so cute!

I love how you sleep with your arms up. When you are trying to fall asleep, you will put your hands up to your face and just suck on your pacy. This is how you put yourself to sleep.

You haven't rolled over yet, but will roll onto your side.

I put you in your jumperoo this month. You were so stinkin cute sitting in it like a big boy. Over the last couple of weeks you have really started enjoying it. You play with the toys on it and lately have really been jumping in it! We all love to watch you in your jumperoo!

You like to watch Lincoln.

You noticed your feet this month. You lift them in the air and just stare! You haven't figured out that you can grab them yet! I love watching you discover things! You also discovered your voice this month! Oh how you can talk! You like to give me an ear full when we are in the car and you need something. It sounds like you are trying to really tell me something. It always makes me smile.

We have tried to give you a bottle a few times in anticipation of this past Friday night where Kris and I took Hannah to Hot Springs to hear Casting Crowns. We left around 4:30 and got home around 11:00. You and Lincoln stayed with Mimi and Pappaw. You took two bottles although you weren't very fond of them. Mimi said you ate a couple ounces and then just didn't want anymore, but you never really fussed. I just don't like to give bottles. It is too much work! BUT I do like the idea of giving your Daddy the opportunity to feed you every once in a while.

Here you are sitting with Linc after he had been to the dentist all morning. He had to have a filling and a crown. You guys were watching tv together. Ha!

Your brother and sister love you.

I love your pouty face when you get upset. Oh, you do not like loud noises one bit. You cry every time. I think in this picture you had just had enough of the cuddling.

Oh Layton, we have finally heard your sweet giggles! One day last week, I got you going good. It is kind of hard to make you laugh, but I just can't hear it enough. Here you are at 4 months. You have really filled out!

I can't wait to see what next month holds, buddy! I love you SO much!

Gifts from Grandma and Grandad!

I am so behind on blogging. I'm having trouble sticking with it these days. We were blessed with a visit from Grandma and Grandad early last week. They had been in Branson and decided to come on down and pay us a little visit as well. They brought Hannah's birthday presents with them. She was so excited to see what neat things Grandma brought!

They got to see sweet Layton as well! He had changed quite a bit since they'd last seen him.

So, Hannah officially has a Hannah Montana shirt. Ha! Grandma only bought it because it had "Hannah" really big on it!

Grandma didn't leave the boys out either! She brought them stuff as well. Lincoln was so excited! He kind of had a hard time this year on Hannah's birthday. He really wants it to be his birthday too. He is CONSTANTLY telling me what he wants for his birthday--in January! This is actually a good thing. It is giving me some ideas for Christmas!

Thank you Grandma for all the fun stuff! The kids have enjoyed their toys since you guys were here!

Also while they were here, they went to church with us on Sunday night and we went to eat at Larry's Pizza afterwards. They loved it--as do we! They also got to go pick Hannah up from school on Monday. She thought this was so neat. Then, that night they got to watch her practice soccer. We all really enjoyed getting to spend time with Grandma and Grandad!

Hannah's Sleepover Party!!

Hannah turned 6 on Friday! I just can't believe it! She is really growing up. The boys and I went and ate lunch with her at school that day. It was neat to see her in her little school environment. I took her a cupcake to start the celebration! She was so excited about the sleepover party she was having that night. This is what she wanted to do for her birthday, so we made it happen.

We kept the numbers low (just had 3 little girls from church) so it wasn't too bad. After everyone arrived, they all went outside to play for a bit. I just love this picture of them all--Hannah, Emma, Hannah B, and Kenzie.

Oh how Lincoln wanted to get in on the fun, but oh how the girls didn't want him in on the fun! They were having a little pow-wow here...

Then, Lincoln was the monster or something and they all ran from him! Ha!

Next, they came in and they were ready to get in their pjs and sleeping bags and lay down. I told them to wait a little bit longer--at least till after supper. I thought it was so cute how excited they were.

We ordered pizza and had Capri Suns.

Then we sang Happy Birthday to Hannah. Here is Kris being silly presenting Hannah with her birthday cupcake!

Lincoln and his Daddy went bowling after supper to get out of the house. This was Lincoln's first time to go bowling. He was so cute when he got home. He said, "Mom, I went rolling!" Hehe! I think he had a good time. After "rolling" they came back and watched Ice Age:Dawn of the Dinosaurs in our bedroom.

Enjoying the strawberry cupcakes--Hannah's favorite!

Emma

Me and my girl.

Layton was just hanging out. He was so excited and just kicking those legs!

She got lots of fun stuff from her friends.

Love this card from Emma.

New dress from Mom and Dad.

I guess you could say this gift was from her Daddy--tickets for the three of us to go see Casting Crowns in concert next weekend in Hot Springs. We love Casting Crowns. Everytime one of their songs comes on the radio, Hannah knows who it is and sings along with alot of them. This will be her first concert. I think she will love it.

I got her a little bag to keep all her nail polish in. I included some new polish and nail stickers that we were going to use that night. She LOVED this!

What could it be?

No, it is not an American girl doll. I don't think it is necessary to spend $100 on a doll when she was perfectly happy with this one from Target. She also got a soccer outfit for it and dressed her in it the next day for her soccer game. She had to bring her doll with her to the game. I wish I would have taken her picture. Everyone thought she was so cute with her matching doll.

After presents, they played Pretty Pretty Princess. They goofed off the whole time and sang silly songs. I will say this, I couldn't believe how loud little girls could be. :) I thought it was boys that were supposed to be so loud! Ha!

Next they did their own manicures and pedicures. They did this for the longest time!

Around 9:00 p.m. they got in their sleeping bags, we popped popcorn, and they watched Hannah's new Tinkerbell movie. A couple of the girls were really into the movie and a couple of them wanted to talk and be silly. After the movie at around 10:30, they talked some more. Then around 11:00 or so Hannah went to sleep. I think she was the first one. I had to go in and tell them to quiet down and try to go to sleep a couple of times. They were all finally out around 11:30 p.m.

Here's their nails!

They were all up by 7:00 a.m. Three of the four of them had soccer games that day. I think they were all pretty tired little girls, but I think they had fun! I'm sure there will be more of these in the future. :-)

Happy 6th Birthday my Hannah! I love you!
