Lincoln is SEVEN!

I can't believe Lincoln is seven!!  We celebrated with Mimi and Pappaw the weekend before his birthday.  Since we are not big cake people, I made an ice cream sandwich dessert as his "cake" this year.

Singing "Happy Birthday"!

Ready to blow out the candles!

Opening his Lego Bible.  He really loves it and it is the neatest thing!  A friend told me about it and I knew it would be perfect for him for his birthday!

Checking it out!

All boys need something to shoot.

He had been wanting a Razor scooter for a long time.  Now he won't have to ride Hannah's.

Much needed clothes!

He also got a "real" bible.

Some things about Lincoln at 7:

**He still loves Legos and builds the neatest things out of them.  He has such a creative mind.
**He is quite a good little artist.  I have been really surprised at some of his drawings.  He may have gotten some artistic talent from his Pappaw??
**He is still full of energy.
**He likes basketball and baseball.  I think he is going to forego baseball this time and try the swim team.  He loves to swim too and is really good at it!
**He is wishy washy about liking school.
**He is great at math, but spelling is more of a struggle for him.  He is not a fan of reading either. :(
**He loves to watch tv and loves video games.  His favorite games are Mario and Minecraft.
**He is wearing a size 7 pants but I don't think they will last much longer.  He is getting tall.
**He is definitely a sweets lover and candy lover.
**He does not like having a fire in the fire place (which Kris loves).  He is a little afraid of fire.
**He is good at memorizing things.  Doesn't take him long to memorize scripture.
**When he sings, he sings loud and I love to hear him.  At Life Group sometimes, he sings out and Kris and I just look at each other and smile.  He also likes to sing church songs at bedtime and belts them out.  LOVE!
**He does NOT like to have his hair cut.
**It usually doesn't take him long to fall asleep at night.  He goes so hard all day.

Lincoln, your big brown eyes just get me.  I see much success in your future!  I pray that you will use all that energy for something really great one day!  I love you so much.  You are a blessing from God and a special part of our family!!!

I wanted to include this picture of Jeff.  We also celebrated Uncle Jeff's birthday that weekend.  His is on the 14th.  We love Uncle Jeff and wish him his best year yet!!
