All the rest of August

I finally finished my Nursery board in the church lobby.  I love how it turned out!!!  It is pictures of all the babies in our nursery.  I will add to it as needed.

Some last pics at our Bryant house.  You might be a redneck...

This one cracks me up.  Very very random but one day we found a frog in our toilet.  It obviously came up it.  I have no idea how.  It was hilarious!!!

This was the day we closed on our house.  Kris was studying up on our house plan.  We were hoping to get started soon, but for now we are apartment dwellers.  Fun times are ahead for sure!! ;)

I watched 5 Storment kids one day for Leslie.  They are so cute.  They were doing their school work.  Their mom homeschools them.

Lunch with a bunch of cuties!!

Lincoln, Layton, and I went to PV's Mother/Son Nerf War.  It was a blast!!

Leslie with Samuel and Joel.

Me with my boys!

Layton graduated from PEAK, our children's worship program at PV.  He is headed to big church.  What a milestone.

This showed up on my Facebook memories.  What a little chucky monkey.  They grow so fast!

Bunko at Kelly's.  What a beautiful table with beautiful women.  Love this group!

Just playing.

Lincoln participated in a Wednesday night Tween led worship.

We have worked a little bit on potty training, but have not gotten serious yet.  We had just gotten this new potty seat I think.

This was a picture from the first day of school that a parent sent.  So glad Lincoln was surrounded by new and old friends.

This was at our first PV Outdoor Chapel.  I think they have it the first week of school every year.

Well, that wraps up Summer for the most part.  Now on to Fall!!!

Getting Started on House Plans

We have had a house plan picked out for a while.  I think I found it on Pinterest one time.  I saved it and we just kept coming back to it.  This is the original plan--upstairs and downstairs.  We knew we wanted each kid to have their own bedroom and that we wanted an open concept living room and kitchen for entertaining.  We loved the big porch as well.

This was a picture of the original plan outside.

There were definitely some changes we knew we wanted to make to it, though.  Through his connections at work, Kris was able to get the name of an architect who we sent the original plans to.  We told him the changes we wanted to make and also gave him liberty to make some.  This was his initial drawings.  We had told him we didn't want railings on the porch.

We also told him we did not want to have the open space above the kitchen.  We would rather have the space upstairs.  So, he turned it into an office space.  Kris loved this!  We also did not want a dining room in the front, so we changed it into a utility/laundry room.  This will be a great space to come into the house with and will include a mudroom/cubby space as well.

There is tons of room and storage upstairs which we are excited about!

This is not the final version quite yet, but we are getting there!  I can hardly wait to actually get started!!!

4th Annual Life Group Silly Family Olympics

It is time for another Life Group Silly Family Olympics!!  It is always so much fun!!  Here is our crew this year.

The Ancels

The Hausteins

The Stephens

The Cheesmans

The Dockerys

And us!

He just has to.  He can't resist.  Insert vomiting emoji.

Amy was in charge of the games this time and she did an awesome job of picking them.  This one you had to start with a blue cup on top and re-stack them as fast as you can until the blue cup got to the top again.

This one you had to blow up a balloon and then use its air to be the first to blow the cups off the table.

This one was hysterical.  You had to put your hands in the panty hose and try to get the balls out of the ends without putting your hands together at all.

Race across the gym with Kleenex on your head.  It couldn't fall off.

This one was interesting.  It was a race where you scoot down the gym with towels on your feet.

Amy and I were neck-in-neck until right here where she busted it--bad.

In this game, you had to be the first to use one hand and get all the balls from one 2 liter to the other.

The Oreo game where you start with one on your head and have to work it down to your mouth without dropping it.

Katelynn is good at this one!

Making their paper airplanes for the flying contest.

The adults turn.

Donut on a string game.  Be the first one to eat it all without it falling on the floor.

Connor and Layton racing to the finish!

After the scores were tallied, the Stephens, even without Mike, came in 3rd place.

The Dockery's were 2nd!

And guess who was first??!!

We won!  We got the honor of bringing home the trophy!!!

The Stephens won last year and added the llama sticker.  Now it is our turn to add something to it before next year.  This will be interesting...
