Pretty Pictures!

We like to take family pictures when we are home for Christmas every year. Unfortunately my brothers were running a little late (we took these before church Sunday morning) and were not able to be in the pictures this year. Stinkers.

I thought they looked PRECIOUS in their matching outfits. I wasn't too sure what I'd think of Lincoln in this one, but he really looked adorable. (I really wanted to dress my little baby boy in smocked outfits, but you know, they just didn't look right on him. He was too much of a boy or something, I don't know. So, it surprised me how good this outfit looked at almost 2 years old.)

Christmas with Family!

We went to Texarkana Christmas morning after opening presents at home. My parents just moved into their new house down on their land. It is so nice. It is also nice for them to be actually on their land now instead of a mile or so away. Dad can play with all his "toys" whenever he wants!

Uncle Wes and Linc

Hannah in her new boots with her new baby car seat.

We exchanged presents Thursday night. Lincoln got hooked up with lots of tools and even a Craftsman hat.

Hannah got a REAL digital camera. She was excited!

She also got several Fancy Nancy books from Uncle Wes.

I love his excitement when he saw his circular saw! He IS his Daddy's son!

TOOLS!

MiMi got some new canisters for her new kitchen!

Pappaw got a much needed air compressor.

Friday we went to my Aunt Suz's (the one singing with the mic below) for lunch with my mom's side of the family. It was our first Christmas without Mama Cille. It was sad for a while just missing her, but soon we all got wrapped up playing Guitar Hero and ended up having a blast!

Hannah really got into the Guitar Hero. She danced around alot and enjoyed watching her slightly older cousins play it.

I actually took a stab at singing "Eye of the Tiger", but decided that I was better at the drums! Here is my cousins Jolie, Linzi, and Amy singing with me on the drums. It was sooooo much fun!

Hannah & Hayes
Amy & Hayes, her son. Hayes is the spitting image of his mother at that age.

We did Dirty Santa with the kids and then another with the adults this year. We decided that we were only going to spend $1 on each gift. It was really fun! We actually got some cool stuff--and it was just $1 so it didn't break the budget! Here's all the kiddos getting ready to play.

I love getting together with all my family! We have so much fun together and make some really great memories too!

Christmas Morning!

This is what Santa left for everyone in our house Christmas morning!

Lincoln got a HUGE train table!
This was his sweet little face when he walked in the room and saw everything!

Hannah got a new bicycle with training wheels and all the accessories that go with it!

I just love this picture because it shows how much fun he was having!

Checking out his train table.

I love his face here. He looks like he is working hard at opening this one. Most all of them he would rip open and then squeal with delight!

New boots! A girl's gotta have new shoes!

They each got a movie. Hannah got Tinkerbell and Lincoln got Cars!

Hannah loves her new cash register! We may make her into an accountant yet! Ha!

"Manny!!!" Lincoln said when he saw his Handy Manny coloring book!

He was HILARIOUS! He broke out his new colors and immediately started coloring in his new coloring book!

Mommy's turn!!! I had a REALLY good Christmas this year! My husband is such a sweetheart! He went with the 12 days of Christmas theme and got me a whole bunch of stuff! Here's the run down so I can remember it!
1st day - A "Bless Our Home" saying to put in my kitchen
2nd day - A pair of pajamas
3rd day - 3 canisters (ones I wanted from Kirklands)
4th day - A 4 night cruise to the Bahamas set for October!!!! I was shocked!
5th day - A $5 gift card to Sonic
6th day - A 6-pack of Coke
7th day - 7 different bottles of lotions and bath stuff from Bath & Body Works
8th day - 8 $5 gift cards to McDonalds (He knows I frequent there)
9th day - 9 different Santas (some ornaments, some figurines, a cookie plate, etc)
10th day - A manicure/pedicure for my 10 fingers and 10 toes
11th day - 11 $5 gift cards to Michaels (for all the crafts I plan on doing)
12th day - A dozen red roses (and yes, he arranged them himself!! Ha!)
He really knows how to make me feel special and I absolutely love him for it! We are really excited about the cruise. I've never been on one before!

Daddy's turn: He got a turkey fryer, a charcoal grill, some cologne, and a few other things. I am not so creative!

We had a great time! It was so fun to see the kids' excitement!

Christmas Eve

We did a couple of things this Christmas Eve. First, since it was my birthday, I got to open a few presents from Kris. He got me some new pajamas, some chocolate, a movie, and a few other things. Sometimes it stinks having a birthday on Christmas Eve, but Kris always makes me feel special! Thanks babe!

I decided that I wanted the kids to start picking out something for each other for Christmas. Nothing very big, just something to help them start thinking about each other and to help them learn how to get excited about giving to others. I think it would be a cool tradition to open these gifts on Christmas Eve. This year I picked out Hannah's gift from Linc since he still is a little too young to understand. She got some baby bottles so she can feed her babies.
Hannah and I went shopping together for Lincoln's gift. She picked out a Thomas book. It was a very good choice! He seemed to really like it!

Here they are giving each other hugs and saying "Thank you!"

We did the whole milk and cookies for Santa thing too before they went to bed. It was a fun night!

Gingerbread House 2008

We decorated our gingerbread house again this year. Linc got to participate this year. Actually he didn't do much except, yes, eat the candy. Here's just a few pics to mark the occasion and help us remember.

Lincoln is 23 months!

WOW! Just one month to go! This month I thought I'd tell lots of the things I LOVE about my little mess! So, here goes:

**I love how Lincoln is constantly asking me "Where's Daddy?" and "Where's Nanna?" Seriously, it is crazy how many times a day he asks about Daddy and Hannah. I love how he looks at me expecting an answer and now answers his own question sometimes with "Wook" for Daddy.

**I love how he tries to sing "Jesus Loves Me" with me at night when I put him to bed. Oh, it is the sweetest thing I've ever heard. He is so proud of himself when we are done and me, well, I just melt.

**I love his pouty face when I've told him "no" he can't do something or "no" he can't have any candy right now or it's time to go night night. He says with his pouty face, "Ahhh night night."

**I love how he calls all books Bibles and carries around his special night night Bible all the time and looks at it.

**I love how he gets excited about brushing his teeth. If that bathroom door gets left open, he is in there with his toothbrush in hand and then proceeds to swish it around in the potty to get it wet.

**I love how last night in Wal-Mart he was trying to sing "Jingle Bells" at the top of his lungs! "Jinga Bell, Jinga Bell"--that's the only part he knows, but he thinks it is so fun.

**I love how the other night when I said, "Does someone have a stinky diaper?" he looked at me and said, "Ah Nanna."

**I love it when he says "Aww Man!" (from Dora) and now Jack has taught him to say, "No way!" So, now it is "Aww Man! No Way!" cause he knows he makes us laugh.

**I love how when I ask him if he's my baby he says with his very mischievous smile, "Nooooo, ah bebe." (i.e. no you're the baby). We do this back and forth. It is our little game.

**I love how he is such a big boy now and can chew gum. It is so exciting to him that he can chew gum like Hannah. He has yet to swallow any and is pretty good about handing it over when I ask him.

**I love how he rolls his eyes upon demand. He knows he's being funny. You just can't help but laugh at him.

**I love how he has figured out that there are things in his nose and he tries to pick them. He says, "Ewwww!!"

**I love his big, brown eyes. They are so expressive.

**I love watching him run to the bathroom to get in the tub with his little bare bottom. So cute!

**I love how he and Hannah sit in the recliner together every morning after waking up and watch cartoons. They are really happy to see each other in the mornings.

**I love how he and Hannah give each other kisses and hugs at night before bed.

**I love how he runs--especially when he is excited. He kind of kicks his legs up in the back.

I love all these things about you, Lincoln, and many more! You are so fun and yet such a challenge at times.

**Right now you HATE to have your haircut. Poor Jennifer! It is quite a chore to cut your hair.

**You don't like to be in your high chair for long.

**You love to try to stand up in the grocery cart.

**You love to run away from me anytime you get the chance--like after church Sunday mornings. We have found you several times up the stairs on your way to the balcony.

**You love to touch everything you can in public restrooms making your mommy a nervous wreck.

**You love to hit your sister or take something away from her just to hear her scream.

**You love to get my attention by being naughty when I'm on the phone.

**You love to play with your food. You are the messiest eater!

BUT I will ALWAYS love you because you are YOU!
