Hannah's new haircut!!!

While we were in Memphis, Hannah and I both got haircuts! Hannah got a BIG haircut though!! The week before we went, I asked her if she wanted to get her hair cut short. I was going to leave it up to her. I knew that I would let her get it cut eventually--probably around the time she started school. Since we were going to be seeing Jennifer, I asked her if she wanted to let Jennifer cut it. She said she did.

Had to put a bow in it!!

I love it! It turned out so sweet!

Daddy and Nathan were upstairs. She ran up to show them. I tried to get their reactions. They were all smiles. Wish I could have gotten Hannah's face. She was excited to show all her friends at church on Sunday night. Yesterday when I picked her up from school, I asked her if her friends liked her hair. She said, "Oh Yeah!" Too funny!

I think the haircut makes her look a little more her age. I've been getting asked lately if she and Lincoln are twins. They are about the same height. She is such a petite little thing. I think she looks even more adorable than she already did!

Trip to Memphis

This past weekend we went to Memphis to visit the Blands. On Saturday morning we went and ate doughnuts at a very popular Memphis doughnut shop called Gibsons. It was yummy!! Then we all went to the zoo. Here are some of my favorite pictures from there.

This guy was just pacing back and forth and looking at us. It was kind of creepy.

Benson and Hannah--still buddies.

Mr. Mess and his Daddy.

Ride em cowboy. He really needed his boots. He was not very happy with me that I didn't let him wear them that day. Somehow I've got to get him to want to wear shoes that are for summer. I don't really want him to wear shorts and his boots although that would be his first choice!

Everyone sitting down to watch the sea lion show.

We all rode the train. It was kind of funny because about half way through the ride, it ran out of gas. That wouldn't have mattered so much, except that Lincoln had told us he needed to go potty as soon as we sat down on the train. We had to really encourage him to hold it tight until after the ride. Luckily he did it and we didn't have any accidents!

Sweet Benson was getting tired.

This girl really knows how to pose!

Sloane was so good the whole time we were there. She is such a great baby. Love how she and Hannah were holding hands.

My favorite thing at the zoo were the polar bears. They were swimming around right up by the glass for everyone to see. It was so cool to watch these big ole bears! The kids were fascinated by them as well!

We used my new sit-and-stand double stroller that I got at Rhea Lana for the first time on this trip. It was great! One kid (or two) could stand or sit in the back and the other one (the one who needed to be tied down) could sit up front. Loved it!

I was trying hard to get at least one picture with my kiddos (since I am the one always behind the camera). Didn't realize that I was really squashing my belly in the process.

This picture cracks me up! Look closely at Lincoln's face. When I saw it, I thought "this face totally depicts Lincoln's behavior all weekend long." He was such a BEAR!!!! Funny this was taken at the grizzly bear exhibit. Maybe we should have left him there! Just kidding! But he really was a mess. Never seen a child with more energy.

Benson leaning in giving Hannah a kiss.

More sweet hand holding!

Thanks Nathan and Jennifer for such a fun weekend. We loved catching up with you guys and look forward to the next time!

25 weeks

Week 25! Just 15 to go!! I am feeling good. I am definitely noticing this big ole belly I'm carrying around more these days. I am feeling lots of movement. This little guy seems to be more of a mover than I remember my other two being. I am trying to take it a little bit easier lately because it is easy to over do it. Yesterday I took about an hour and a half nap and really messed my bedtime up. Don't think I went to bed till after 1:00 a.m. This made me realize I should probably not nap that long anymore. I've also been having lots of heart burn. It's not too bad, but enough to be annoying.

We finally found bunk beds and got them ordered last night! I am super excited about this! They will be in in a couple of weeks. We have things going on the next couple of weekends, but after that we will get started moving the rooms around. I want Linc to really get settled in his new room before the baby comes.

We have pretty much picked out the name of this little guy. No, it will not be Hokie--although who knows, that could end up being a nickname! Kris has been adamant about sticking to the initials LEK. I just couldn't talk him out of it and honestly I've pretty much known forever that he really was dead set on using these initials for our boys. I really have not allowed myself to think too much outside of L names. L is a very hard letter though, so it has been a bit of a challenge and this name has had to grow on me. BUT I think I like it now. We have always kept our names a secret until birth, so we will do this again. You gotta have one surprise! The kids don't even know!

I just can't wait to meet this little boy! I imagine what he'll look like and how the kids will react to him all the time. Hannah is super sweet with babies, so I am really looking forward to watching her with ours.

According to BabyCenter.com, the baby's weight is not more than an average rutabaga, about a pound and a half. Think I'm about to lose my little size comparisons! I may just have to start saying length and/or weight. This just helps me realize how big he is getting in there!

Wye Mountain 2010!

We went to Wye Mountain today with Carrie and Jack and Leanne and Eden. What a BEAUTIFUL day it was!!! Here are the pictures from our little photo shoot. The kids were pretty cooperative. Think I got some good ones!

Probably my favorite! Sweethearts!

I will have THREE kiddos in these pictures next year! That will be so fun! I can't wait!!!
