Snow White and her Prince

Saturday night Nathan, Jennifer, and Benson came over. After dinner, we were all sitting around talking and watching a movie (The Man from Snowy River). Hannah was sitting in her new wagon watching the movie, when all of a sudden she got this idea and said,

"I'm going to be Snow White in the case!"

So, she laid down, put her blanket over her, and folded her little hands just so.

And soon her prince arrived and delivered that magical kiss!

How cute is that!

Stroller Skating Fun!

Friday a group of us mommies went Stroller Skating for the first time! It was pretty neat! You can push your kids in strollers with or without skates AND you can bring ride on toys for your kids too. I think everyone had a really good time!

Lincoln let me push him in the stroller for a little while at least! I knew it wouldn't last long!

We thought we'd do the kick up your leg pose. I think I look goofy!
Hannah absolutely had a blast riding her tricycle. This was the first time she's really ever ridden it much at all. She rode it all over that rink!

Lincoln decided he wanted to try to skate like Momma--or sort of like her.

I have a feeling we'll be doing this again!

Family Pictures!

Our good friend, Kelly, took our family pictures this past weekend. They turned out really well! We were very pleased! Here are just a few. There were so many that we liked. We are going to have such a hard time picking and choosing!

Thanks so much Kelly! You can see more of Kelly's great work at

Video of Lincoln watching Dora

Here's Lincoln watching Dora. He's mesmerized by the tv--until Swiper the Fox comes on and says, "Ah Man!" Love it!

Mr. Mess is 22 months!

Let's see, what is Lincoln doing this month? Getting into everything? Yes, you guessed it! Oh, he is such a BOY!!!!

Lincoln is still bumping his head all the time. He has a HUGE blue bruise on his forehead from the other night when I was at bunko. I don't know what happened exactly. I think he just tripped and hit his head on the floor. Poor baby! It looks horrible! You can see it in some of the pictures below.

He loves wipes! He is so silly! He is constantly wanting a "white" as he calls them. I don't really know what he does with them exactly. He just carries them around and rubs them on things I guess. But he gets really upset if I don't give him one when he wants one. He will also come and help himself sometimes to the ones in his room. The other day I saw him talking to his wipes. He put them on the kitchen table and said with his finger up, "Right back, right back." Then, he went to go get into the markers.

We have this little butcher block table by the dining room table where I keep all the markers and crayons for the kids. Lincoln is constantly getting into the markers. Monday while Jack was here, I noticed that they were being awful quiet. I found them in front of the table using the markers to color on the hardwood floor! Thankfully, they were washable markers!

Linc still loves to get into Hannah's stuff. She keeps her door closed ALL the time so little brother can't get her things. But anytime that door opens up and he is nearby, he is in there as quick as a wink and trying to see what's in her purses or getting her blow dryer, whatever he can see that he likes. Hannah, of course, HATES this and screams bloody murder!

Sometimes when Lincoln is going to the bathroom in his diaper, he'll tell me "Poot". Cracks me up!

Lincoln is learning how to do puzzles, play with playdoh, and is becoming more interested in the little match box cars that he has.

He is THE messiest eater I have ever seen! His food usually ends up all over him, the table, and the floor. Mommy is getting extremely frustrated with this. Did I say this last month? He hasn't gotten any better. I've got to crack down!

TV - Lincoln is loving him some TV these days. He really sits and watches it. He especially likes Dora (cause sister is always watching it), Handy Manny, Sesame Street, and Mickey Mouse Playhouse. He does the cutest thing when Dora comes on. In the intro song, at the end, Swiper the Fox says, "Ah Man!" Everytime that part comes on, Lincoln will say, "Ah Man!" in the CUTEST little voice. I'll try to post a video of this soon. I love it!

Our neighbors have a cat that we watch out the window a lot while we are eating. Just about everytime we are at the table, Lincoln will ask, "Da Cat?" (Where's the cat?) Once I told him that maybe he was still sleeping (night, night) and so now when the cat is not there, he'll say "Cat, night night!" So cute.

Lincoln is sleeping much better now. He is even waking up happy most of the time. He used to scream and cry when he'd wake up and want out of bed immediately. So, this is an improvement.

Oh, I could go on and on about this little guy, but I'll stop. These are just some of the things I want to remember about Mr. Mess right now. I tell him he's a mess all the time and he'll say, "Noooo" and do that really mischievous laugh of his. I could just eat him up!

Book Character Parade

Today Hannah's preschool class had a book character parade! They were supposed to come dressed as their favorite book character. I asked Hannah who her favorite book character was and she said, of course, Cinderella. So, we got to get another use our of her Cinderella dress!

There were some cute characters--a fireman, a snowman, a puppy dog, Bob the Builder, a Dalmation, and a farmer. Hannah's teacher was Fancy Nancy. I tried to get Hannah to be Fancy Nancy cause she got the Fancy Nancy dress for her birthday, but she insisted on being Cinderella. I need to get some of the Fancy Nancy books so she'll know who she is. I've heard they are really cute!

The whole class

What a cute idea! Hannah really enjoyed her day I think. When I got there to pick her up, she was playing at the kitchen station with some of the other kids. They had made vegetable soup out of real vegetables. There was no liquid, but they were pretending to stir it and just having a good ole time! You could really smell the onions!

A New Friend and other pics

Hannah has made a new friend. Her name is Molly and she is Jack's cousin. She came over on Saturday night and they just had a blast! They went into Hannah's room and shut the door and we barely heard a peep out of them all night. We'd peak in and check on them and here is what we'd find:

I'm telling you, I will be so surprised if my daughter is not a hair dresser one day!

Another time we peaked in and Molly had on the scrubs. I asked Hannah what they were doing and she told me they had sick babies! They were doctoring them.
Meanwhile, Jack was in the playroom playing with Lincoln and sitting in boxes!

Jack in the Box
I'm keeping Jack on Mondays and he loves to climb in boxes! Here are he and Lincoln in one together! I thought it was hilarious!

This is just a picture of Hannah I took today because I couldn't resist. She went in the bathroom to fix her hair and boy did she fix it!

View from the front
View from the back

Here are all the kids today. Lincoln is looking at the pictures, Jack is pounding away, and Hannah is singing.

Here they all are playing a piano trio!!!

We are enjoying Jack being here. He is a sweetie! Right now all three kiddos are napping so I'm getting to catch up a little on my much neglected blogging!

First time to trick or treat!

This year was the first time my kids went trick or treating! We have a super neighborhood now to do it in. Almost all the houses had their lights on and several of the older people sat out on their porches and handed out their candy. It was so cute!

The princess and the kangaroo ready to head out!
Hannah was such a good sport about letting me fix her hair to be Cinderella. I had so much fun getting to do it! She also LOVED getting to wear a little make-up. She especially liked the mascara!
Our buddy, Benson, came to join us! He was a Memphis Tiger, of course! He had the growl down pat!

Hitting the first house. The kids walked up there like they knew exactly what to do.

Benson helping himself to some candy!

Awww! We took a little video of this and decided we'll play it at their wedding one day!

Trick or Treat!
Lincoln cracked me up! Everytime someone would open a door, he'd about fall inside--or just walk on in like he did at this house.

What a great night! It rained on us a little, but the kids didn't seem to mind at all. They all seemed to really enjoy themselves and couldn't wait to get back to the house to check out their stash!
