Thanksgiving/Christmas in KC!

This year was our year to be with the Keims for Thanksgiving. We actually celebrated Christmas too since we will be with my family over Christmas. We had great fun spending time with everyone!

Kris got to play with fire--one of his FAVORITE things! He helped his brother and his dad burn an old house down on Les' property that he has near their parents' house. I'm telling you, I really think they enjoyed themselves, even though it was hard work. I wish I had some pictures of it all, BUT I was too busy keeping you-know-who out of all of Grandma's pretties!!! Kris' mom loves to decorate for the holidays and she always has tons of stuff everywhere, much of which is breakable and a very big temptation for little hands!

Hannah and Lincoln got to play with their cousins! Hannah especially loved seeing Logan. She was so cute. The other day when I was wrapping the Christmas presents to take with us, she decided she wanted to wrap up something for Logan. So, she went and got one of her old receiving blankets that she now uses with her babies and wrapped it up as best she could like a present to give him. She really remembered and took it with her and gave it to him (Although it did manage to get back here with us--lucky for Logan!). She was so proud of herself.

Logan tickling Hannah after she gave him her gift.

I wish I'd thought to take a picture of the present she wrapped, but here's the aftermath!
Since Grandma and Granddad won't be able to come to Linc's 2nd birthday in January, they went ahead and celebrated his birthday while we were there! Grandma made him a cookie cake. He didn't know what was going on at first!

So, Hannah and Isabel had to blow out the candles for him.

Getting a good look at his cake.

For his birthday, he got some Cowboy boots

and a Cowboy hat.

What else does a Cowboy need but a horse, of course!

This will definitely be our Halloween costume for next year!

Grandma and Granddad getting a kick out of their little Cowboy!

Saying thank you!

Now the girls got a really special treat! A little girl from the Keims' church had outgrown all of her princess stuff, so she decided to give it all to Hannah and Isabel. I love Hannah's face here. She couldn't believe all the stuff! They each got 2 princess dresses, jewelry, tutus, crowns--all kinds of stuff!

Fashion show

Kris' mom got all the guys these shirts.

Lincoln really got into opening the presents. He would squeal with delight when he tore into something and then saw what it was. It was so fun to watch! He got a big fire truck, a big dump truck, a little tool box, some clothes, a Veggie Tale DVD, and two bowling sets!

Hannah got a Lite Brite, lots of Barbie stuff, a porcelain doll, and clothes to name a few.

T-shirts seemed to be a common thing this Christmas. We got this one for Granddad. It is so true! Ha!

Lincoln with one of his bowling sets. Right now he thinks it is more fun to run over and knock all the pins down with his hands versus trying to roll the ball to do it.

Kris decided to model Hannah's new Hannah Montana wig.

Okay, so what we all got Granddad this year was money to get some new false teeth. Apparently he really needs them. So, Carol got him this set of teeth to help him understand what he COULD look like if he doesn't get the new teeth!

To top off our visit, it snowed! Awesome!
