Kris lived in Australia for 2 years right out of college. He loved it. He met all kinds of wonderful people and made friendships that have lasted for many years. One special friend was Mick. Kris stayed with Mick's parents, Frank and Laney, during multiple summer campaigns with Harding. Mick and Kris are very close in age and he'd probably call him his Australian brother. I met Mick and his wife, Heather, back in 2004 when Kris took me to Australia. This was before kids. I was actually pregnant with Hannah at the time--just barely--about 8 weeks. We had not told anyone yet. Heather was also pregnant with their first child, Sarah. We haven't talked to them much since that visit--maybe a few phone calls now and then. So, when they called to tell us they were coming to the states for an extended holiday (vacation) and wanted to stay with us, we were excited. However, they were coming right in the middle of us packing to move. Yikes. They stayed with us for several days. It was a bit crazy, but a lot of fun!
We went bowling one day.
Heather and Mick.
We played at the house some. My pictures were terrible.
The big thing we did was go to the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro. It was SUPER hot (mid-August). The kids weren't too excited about it and I have to say it was a bit miserable.
Ledger did enjoy digging in the dirt.

Sarah and Mick.
The girls all went shopping one day too. We had a lot of fun!
I hope they can come back again when we have more room to house them and aren't in the middle of a move. They are awesome friends and a great family! We love the Paynes!!
