Weekend Getaway

The first weekend in March Kris and I were able to get away for 2 nights.  A friend of ours has a daughter who owns cabins up near Eureka Springs called White River Cabins.  She gave us a free weekend there.  What a blessing.  I call this our babymoon because it was the last opportunity we really would have to have some time to ourselves before the baby comes.

We left Friday afternoon and stopped and ate dinner at Cadron Creek Catfish House in Bee Branch.  It was delicious.

We got to our cabin late that night but the next morning we woke up to this beautiful view.

We spent the morning walking around downtown Eureka Springs.  We ate at a yummy Mexican Restaurant and then decided to take a drive up to Bentonville.  We toured the original Wal-Mart 5-10 store/museum.  It was quite interesting.  We also test drove some minivans.  This was the perfect time to do this because we had no kids.  We pretty much made up our minds on the one we wanted and planned to go back home and pull the trigger soon.  So, that was exciting!  We stopped by a Motherhood store where I bought a few things to help tide me over in this pregnancy and then ate at a stand alone Panda Express.  It hit the spot for both of us.

We got up the next morning and drove to Harrison and went to church there, ate, and then headed home.  It was the perfect weekend.  Mom and Dad watched the kids for us which we were so thankful for.  We were especially thankful for our friend, Debbie, who blessed us with this trip!!!

Btw, I love this guy.
