We are 3/4 of the way through this little guys' first year. I can't believe it! He is just getting so big.
This month Ledger went to the doctor for a cough that he had had for a long time. She did a chest x-ray and it looked fine, thank goodness. She basically said it was just croup and to continue to watch him.
On January 16, his top right central incisor came in. Then, on January 28, his bottom left central incisor came in.
On February 6, we went back to the doctor again because he was still coughing. He actually had his first ear infection which she prescribed amoxicillin for.
On February 10, his top left central incisor came in. This makes four teeth total!
At his 9 month check-up, he weighed 21 lbs 15 oz and was in the 85%. He was 29.5 inches tall which was the 89%. His head was 18.6 in and his BMI was 17.0. He only got one shot and it was his second flu shot.
Dr. Byrum said that Ledger was a little behind in his gross motor skills mainly because he is not crawling yet. He said it was nothing to worry about unless he still wasn't by his next appointment.
Prior to his appointment, he had been only wanting to nurse on one side first thing in the mornings. Since I was so full of milk, this was frustrating. I hate having to pump. When I told the doctor about this, he said that he may be trying to wean which we don't want him to do quite yet. So, I definitely need to pump when he does this.
P.S. He stopped doing this shortly after this appointment. I think it may have been partly due to the ear infection that he was getting over.
Ledger is eating great. He likes lots of table foods. He tried spaghetti and ate peanut butter in these little peanut snacks called Bamba. He really likes them, so I am hopeful I will finally have a peanut butter eater! He is feeding himself well, but hates it when I clean him up! He pushes my hands away.
He is not crawling yet, but he gets in the position and looks like he will just take off. Then, he scoots back to his bottom. I guess he is just not ready. He loves to be in his walker and walks all over the hallway, living room, and kitchen.
He will sit in the floor with a basket of toys and just pull different ones out and play with them. He really likes his rubber duck in his bath too. He loves his pacy, but doesn't have to have it all the time. If it falls out at night, though, he will sometimes cry out and I go put it back in.
He makes the cutest cheesy face.
He is so much fun and we love him to pieces!!!
Here are his cute 9 month pictures. He would not smile.
