Rain, Apples, and Marbles

Since we had an extra long weekend over Labor Day weekend, we headed to Kansas City.  Les and Carol were going to be there this time and we hadn't seen them since Christmas.  I still can't get over that Logan and now Lindsey are BOTH at Harding!!!  They are all grown up!!  So we didn't get to see them.  We did see Kurt, Alexis, and Isabel for a little while though and that was great!

Saturday morning was a rainy one.  We had been in the house hanging out and some how these two managed to get outside before they could be stopped.  They wanted to play in the rain!  So we let them. :-)  They were having too much fun to make them stop.

They found the loaded apple trees and started picking and eating apples!

One in each hand!!!

Look what I found!!!

Soon Hannah decided to join them.

Boys and mud.  There is just an undeniable attraction there.

Layton really enjoyed the apples on this trip!!  He ate a bunch!

The only other pictures I took were of the kids racing marbles right before we left to go home on Monday.  Grandma made the tracks for them out of a noodle.  They thought this was awesome!

Thanks Grandma and Grandad for another great visit!  Oh, I forgot to mention we came home with EIGHT frozen homemade apple pies thanks to Kris and Grandma!  They are delicious!!!
