March's Memorable Moments

Well, March has come and gone.  There were lots of memorable moments.

Our Life Group worked on a service project where we made little planters for all the Sunday morning teachers at church as a thank you.  It took us a couple of weeks to do it and we still haven't given them out because they are still trying to grow.  But it was a fun project and we all pitched in.

I don't have a picture of a finished one.  We planted some flower seeds in the bottles and made cards to tie around them that said "Thank you for helping our children grow in the Lord."

Speaking of growing in the Lord, I finished Beth Moore's Children of the Day: 1 & 2 Thessalonians with the ladies at church.  I really liked this study.  At the end of 2 Thessalonians 3:2 it says "For not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful." Beth called this a "10-word Instant Upturn." It is a way to change your perspective. She had everyone write these words on our hands. Here is the way it works: If on the one hand, a viscous crime occurs, "for not all have faith", you can say to yourself on the other hand, "But the Lord is faithful." If we are hated because we are Christians, for not all have faith, we can say "but the Lord is faithful." If we are treated unfairly...but the Lord is faithful. When the percentage of believers in our nation is declining...but the Lord is faithful. When we are struggling with our own belief...but the Lord is faithful.  It was just really powerful to me.  He IS faithful and that leaves me with so much hope.

Tennis started for Lincoln.  We are playing through Benton this year instead of Bryant.  The program is a little smaller because it is new, but I think it will be better.  He has had two matches so far and won both.

One morning Hannah wanted me to curl her hair for school.  Most days she fixes her own hair now so I jumped at the chance to help her!  She looked so pretty.  She is really growing up.

We put together a hospital goody bag for a cousin of Mike's in Life Group one night.  They were at UAMS trying to not go into early labor.  The kids all made cards for them and Mike delivered the bag of stuff the next day.  Hoping our kids see how good it is to serve others in need.

Hannah and I took a Saturday and went to see Cinderella and shopped for new clothes for her.  We had a great time.  The movie was so good!!!

One Sunday after our church we headed to Conway to support Kris' friend Tremayne.  He started a church a year ago with 20 people or so.  It was the one year anniversary and the church has grown to about 200.  This is Tremayne walking down the aisle.  It was an interesting service for sure.  :-)  I love that Kris is so loyal to Tremayne and vice versa and I hope that that speaks volumes to our kids as well.

Layton and cutie pie, Jae (Jack's sister), at Lincoln's tennis practice.  They have fun hanging out together.

Layton and I met up with Amy and Connor one day and went to Superhero/Princess Day at Altitude.  They jumped their little hearts out and I really enjoyed getting to chat with Amy.

Sweet moment where Layton was helping me clean one Sunday afternoon to get ready for Life Group.  He loves to help.  He especially likes to vacuum.  :)

Not exactly sure what Lincoln is doing here other than fixing his hair.  No telling.  Ha!

We met up with Jill, Jack, and Jae one day at the tennis courts by chance.  After practicing we both had intended to go to the library which was so ironic.  So, we went to the bigger Benton library and checked out a bunch of books.  The boys are really working hard to get enough AR points to go on a trip at the end of April.  I don't know if Lincoln will make it or not, but I have been super proud of his effort at reading and taking tests!  The boys found this huge Connect 4 game and were giving it a go.

Last week we had some really warm weather and the kids got into our water hose and started spraying each other.  They all had so much fun!  I anticipate more of this to come this summer!

Very blessed with lots of memorable moments this month!!!
