Pleasant Valley Baby Shower

On April 23rd, Sara, Amy C., Amy L., Stacey, and Lisa through me a baby shower.  It was wonderful.

They thought of everything even down to these cute name tags for me, Hannah, and my mom.

I LOVED these cupcakes made by Stacey.  So cute!

We played several games one of which was this one where if you said the word "baby" you had to give your clothes pin to the person that caught you.  The one with the most clothes pins at the end of the night won a prize.  Katelynn was bound and determined to win this game.  She went around constantly trying to get people to say "baby."

They had everyone sign this onesie.  I love this idea!

The onesie at the end of the shower. :-)  Such a great keepsake.

Katelynn and Hannah

My wonderful hostesses:  Amy L, Stacey, Lisa, me, Sara, and Amy C.

We also played a game where everyone had to guess the price of the items on this table.

Hannah brought the blanket she made to show everyone.

We got our booster seat, changing pad, and bouncy seat from my hostesses.  I was so glad to get them!

It was a great shower.  Everything was just perfect and I love how they used all the nursery colors in the decor.  So special!

Everyone guessed when the baby would come!!  Can't wait to find out who won!!

Women Walking With God Conference

The weekend of April 15-17, my friends Sara, Shelley, Amy, Stacey, and I packed up and headed to Wichita, Kansas to The Women Walking With God Conference.  Sara had been before because it is hosted by her home church back in Wichita.  I was so glad we all got to go together.

I drove my van and Sara switched out with me when I needed a break.  It took us a good 6-7 hours to get there, but we had a great time in the car just chatting.

Some of the scenery along the way.

The theme for the conference was "The Greatest of these is Love" and one of the main speakers was Missy Robertson.  She was really interesting to listen to and I was excited to get her book and have her sign it.  We couldn't take any pictures of her though which was weird.

They also had some really good singers there called The Herndons as well as Desi Oakley.  The singing was beautiful.

Probably everyone's favorite part was Lisa Smartt.  She is a nationally-known motivational Christian humorist and author of the Doug and Carlie book series.  She was HYSTERICAL!!!  We laughed and laughed and laughed until we cried.  Man she was so funny.  She was also such a sweet lady.

They had a photo book where we all got our picture made.  LOL!

I had a little trouble with my feet swelling majorly on this trip but other than that I felt good.

It was so nice to get away for a few days with these wonderful ladies.
