Layton decided he wanted to give baseball a try this year. This is the first organized sport that he has done. He was so excited to pick out a new bat, helmet, and shoes. His team is called the Lugnuts. They are playing coach pitch. Here he is all ready to go at his first game. So cute!
He has quite a good little arm on him and has been batting really well too. He has been playing first base. He is doing pretty well with this and has gotten several outs at first.

He is a lefty. His coach started out pitching underhand to him, but after a while has changed to over hand because he knows Layton can hit it. He hits the ball most at bats and runs like the wind around those bases. He is a fast runner.
He has had an awesome coach in Coach Evan. He is so patient and kind with the kids. He has taught them a lot and their team is undefeated so far which is pretty cool.

We are having a lot of fun watching him play ball! I hope he keeps it up!
