Thanksgiving/Christmas in KC

We left the Wednesday before Thanksgiving for the Keims and got there around suppertime that night.  The kids played outside a bit that next day.  Layton had to ride the tractor and they all picked some more apples off the trees.  They had a blast.  Layton did not want to get off the tractor.

Showing me his apples.  He LOVES apples!!

My Dashy!  He is such a good little traveler.  He really loves being able to run free too!

This was our year to have Christmas at Thanksgiving, so after a very scrumptious lunch of all kinds of good things, the kids got to open gifts from all the aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lincoln was very interested in what we got Isabel.  We got her a knitting machine and a pottery wheel.  He says he wants a pottery wheel now.  Ha!

A hoola hoop for Hannah from Isabel.

Aunt Mona giving it a try.

Lincoln REALLY enjoyed opening his presents and was so excited about everything he got.  He loved his Captain America Legos from Isabel.

It took Layt a minute or two to catch the excitement, but he had a great time too!  He wanted to get everything out immediately upon opening it.

Aunt Mona just about got herself in the doghouse because she got each of our kids a keyboard.  This just adds to the current noise level!

T.v. trays thanks to Aunt Mona.  They also make great places to do crafts--as we have discovered!

Aunt Carol had a great idea for the girls to do a bucket full of baking items including a cookbook and an apron that she made.  Great idea!

He really did like his blocks.  I think his face was because he couldn't get into them immediately!  :)

Later that night we opened presents from Grandma and Grandad and gave them theirs from us.

Logan and Grandad.

One of the things Kris got from his parents was the Duck Commander book.  I read it while we were there and couldn't put it down.  Very interesting!!  LOVE Duck Dynasty!!

Grandma and Grandad got Layt Percy which he calls "Percy Thomas."  So cute!  He loves it.

More Legos!!! Yay!!

Grandma and Grandad got all the guys these jackets that say Keim Farms.

See the smile!?!

The boys really like their jackets.  Lincoln wants to wear his everyday to school!

Hannah wears her robe from Grandma all the time--even sleeps in it (except for the last couple of nights when it has been crazy hot!!).

Kris made his dad a leather wallet.  His other one that Kris made years and years ago had torn up on him recently.  I think Grandad was glad to get a new one.

Kris actually made it himself and did all the drawings.  Turned out really well.

The kids had such a good time getting to see their cousins.  We hadn't seen Logan and Lindsey for quite a while because they are both at Harding now.  Hannah and Lincoln just love all their older cousins.

It is always good to go to Grandma and Grandads.  Love making memories there!
