Our church hosts a Statewide Tween Rally every year for 5th-7th graders. Kris is always in character at them and this year he returned as Lewis Songbird Starling. Cracks.me.up.
I am not sure who was more funny, Kris or Collin. LOL!!! They are definitely two peas in a pod.
The theme was One Nation Under God and our preacher, Chuck, did the speaking. In between his talks, the kids were led in song by Robin Brannon who is worship minister at the Southwest Church in Jonesboro. (He was AWESOME!) The whole day there was a pretend election with the Robin and Songbird ticket vs the Chuck and Collin ticket. The kids voted at the end. There were some silly acts in between things that were done for laughs one of them being when a couple of clowns got up on stage because Songbird misunderstood something that Collin said. Another silly act was a Snake Eating Contest because Songbird misunderstood that it was supposed to be a Steak Eating Contest. Not sure where they came up with these, but they were funny.
They actually had a real snake on stage which the kids loved!! Crazy!
Ledger was not sure about Songbird aka Daddy. Poor thing.

It was a good time and hopefully the kids took away that God is in control and we are One Nation Under Him. Very appropriate right now.
