All the rest of April

I didn't post this with my Easter post, but we did do our traditional Easter egg dying.  The kids love boiled eggs and so they ask to do this each year.

Ledger mostly watched this year.

At the doctor.  We always have to read the books.

Hannah at a track meet running her little heart out.

I am proud of her.  She gave hurdles a try and seemed to really like them in practice.  Then, the meet came and she realized that 300 hurdles is pretty tough.  I don't think she did hurdles again after this meet.  She mostly ran the 400 meters, mile relay, and 800 meters.

Loving our garage sale purchase of this wagon!!!

Kris and I were given tickets to hear John Ortberg at CAC one evening.  We had a great night out.  As always, it is hard to get this guy to take a serious picture.

I took the kids to a movie.  I think it was Peter Rabbit.

Ledger is getting quite good at using a fork and spoon.  He was hammering his mashed potatoes.

Lincoln went to the middle school band night to try out some instruments and see what he liked.  He tried the baritone, the sax, and percussion.  He ranked them saxophone, baritone, then drums.  He scored best on the baritone.  Now we have to wait and see what he gets.  He'll get a letter in the mail in a few weeks telling him.

Hannah and I did a little baking one day.

I have really enjoyed my Heartfelt group.  We surprised one of the girls with a little diaper shower for her first baby.

Then, we learned how to arrange flowers.

Lincoln went to Jack's Cut Throat Basketball birthday party.

He also competed in the State Destination Imagination tournament with his team.  They had a last minute problem that they had to fix.  Lincoln got in there and helped out in crunch time.  I was super proud of him.

His DI team.

Sweet brothers.

Ledger got into the cheese before lunch one day.

Lincoln got my phone and was taking pictures of himself.  Silly boy.

I love these moments of just holding my baby while he sleeps.

As well as watching him sleep in his bed.  I love the hands behind the head.

Ledger went to his first birthday party.  It was for his friend, Luke, from church.

We were invited to the Rowans' house for dinner.  The kids were great and we really enjoyed getting to know Andy and Laura better.  Ledger cracked us all up at the end because he loved his pasta so much, he pretty much took a bath in it--at least his head did.  It was quite comical.

Ledger still loves to read.  I love to see him reading.

Hannah has taught Ledger how to take selfies so now he can do this.

We went to Story Time at the Benton library.  Ledger was mesmerized by it. He liked the shaker eggs. I so need to do this more often.

All the search committee members and their spouses had dinner with one of the possible preachers one night at the Smith's.  Of course, Linda had to give out some funny awards.  Kris and Craig got tissues because they were quite emotional in their meetings.  If you know Kris, you know he can hardly pray with out getting emotional.

I went to a little adoption party for the Colliers one Sunday afternoon.  Our church has lots of foster families.  Several of them have adopted their foster babies.  I really admire what these families do.

Peeling his own orange.
