We had one busy weekend!!! We went to three parties! Friday night we dressed the kids up and went to the Duke's and Greathouse's annual Halloween party at the Duke's house. They had a big blow-up castle that you jump in for the kids and lots of good snacks for the grown-ups.
While trying to decide what the kids were going to be for Halloween this year, I went to several different places looking for ideas. At first I thought I'd just dress Hannah up as a princess. Seems appropriate, right??? (Well, most of the time anyway!) We went to Party City to see what they had. They have this big wall with all kinds of pictures of costumes on it to chose from. She pointed at one and said, "I want that!" I looked and said, "Oh, you want to be the Pixie Fairy?" Hannah--"No, that!" She was pointing to the picture next to the Pixie Fairy. It was a Doctor!!! SO, that's what she was for Halloween this year. They didn't have her size there, so I found a pair of scrubs and all the instruments at Toys-R-Us. She already had a doctor kit that had all the medical supplies in it. Now she has even more. I thought this costume fit her PERFECTLY! She's been around so many doctors lately, it was quite appropriate. Kris keeps hoping that maybe she'll decide to be a doctor one day and fund his retirement! Ha!
I thought Lincoln was going to be Snoopy this year. My mother-in-law had given him a Snoopy snow suit last year for Christmas. However, after trying it on, I saw that it was not going to fit. So, I found a Kangaroo costume at Old Navy for him. I thought this one was appropriate too as Kris' second home is Australia!
Here they are, my doctor and my Kangeroo....
Our next party was Saturday at lunch. Our Honeymooners bible class at church had our Fall Party! We really enjoyed spending time with our friends! We had Corky's BBQ, hot apple cider, and caramel apples. We also carved pumpkins. (Well, the guys did!) It was a beautiful day. The kids seemed to really enjoy themselves too! Hannah wore herself out! The Gables and Bittles put this together every year and do a wonderful job! Thanks guys!
The final party was Saturday night. It was the Kiddie Karnival at the church building. Hannah got lots of candy!
