Here are some pics we've taken since we've been home. Layton has been such a good baby thus far. The first night we were home was a little rough. I'm nursing him every 3 hours, even at night. In the hospital and that first night home, we had a hard time getting him to lay down after I'd fed him. So, we were just holding him to sleep. This just made it hard to get good sleep ourselves. I finally decided that second night to prop him up with his boppy. That has worked great and now I wake him up to eat about every 3 1/2 hours, swaddle him, and lay him back down. He goes right to sleep usually until the next feeding. I'm actually getting some sleep at night.
You forget how much they just eat and sleep, eat and sleep those first few weeks.
We've done lots of holding him too. His big sister and brother really love him. Mimi was here for a few days, went home for a few, and is back now for the rest of the week. She is a HUGE help!
He seems to like both his swing and bouncy seat. Look at that face. He is soooo sweet!
I think his eyes are dark blue. It will be interesting to see what they will end up being. Hannah's were the clearest, prettiest blue eyes and now hers are more green. Lincoln's were always a dark brown.
All bundled up to sleep.
Grandma and Grandad came for a short visit on Sunday. It is hay season and so they couldn't stay too long, but they were dying to see Layton. I'm so glad they got to come!
Grandma always brings goodies for the kids. She brought Layton some sweet clothes.
He is set with some clothes for Christmas.
Grandad couldn't get over how tiny he was.
These first few days at home have been good. Kris got to be off for several days last week, both sets of grand parents have visited, and the kids have enjoyed their little brother. I'm trying to soak up each day, each moment with our precious baby boy!
