Days of December

December has been jam packed with all kinds of things, so there will be several posts about our December activities.  These are the random ones.  :-)

Playdate with Harper and Lucy one day.  Cuties.

We went to the Jingle Bell Run this year.  They didn't have one last year because the weather just wouldn't cooperate.  This year's weather was perfect!  We always get our pictures made with Santa here.  The sun was in their eyes so I had a hard time getting a good one.

Craig O'Neal dancing to the music.  He was funny to watch.

There is no telling how many oranges this dude ate.  He just kept going back for more.

Some of the people warming up to a little Zumba.  We just watched.  ha!

We just did the 1 mile walk this time.  Hannah actually ran a bit of it with me so that was pretty cool.

Hannah's grade had a Christmas musical at school.

It was 50's themed so I had to make her a poodle skirt.  It wasn't the greatest but it looked cute on her.

Getting ready for her part.

This little kid got lots of laughs.  He was a great Grinch and sauntered around everyone during a song.

Love her.

Had to get one of Hannah and Brodie.  Brodie is in her class and lives down the road from us.  We carpool with his family.

The funniest thing happened when we got home from the musical.  The 50's must have made a big impression on Lincoln because he came home and immediately turned himself into the Fonz.  Cutest thing ever!!  He really worked on his hair over and over again.

He didn't have a plain white t-shirt so this was all he could come up with.  He begged me to get him a plain white shirt.  Hilarious.

Hannah may kill me one day for putting this one on here, but I like to be real on this blog.  This is her real room most days (This may be a weekend picture because she does have to make her bed on school days for sure).  IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!  I just don't understand why it doesn't seem to bother her!!!

Playdate with Harper and Lucy again but at the Rock Creek tubes this time.

My helper.  I love him.  He really likes to help me in the kitchen.  I love how he has his tongue out concentrating on cutting those tomatoes.

We had a Life Group Christmas party at the Stephens'.  We played Dirty Santa and had yummy finger foods.  The best gift of the night was a bag of Hershey Kisses that the Cheesman's ended up with.  At the time, they thought they had really scored and gotten a normal gift (the rest were old stuff lying around the house).  However, the next day when Collin went to open the bag, he surprisingly discovered that it was full of some kind of weird seeds.  He texted us all to tell us what happened.  The Lees had a good laugh at their belated joke!

Last, but not least, Hannah qualified to be in the school spelling bee.  I think she was a little nervous about it but tried to act like it wasn't a big deal.  She got out in the second round, which really surprised me, but I don't think she really cared.  I was just proud of her for trying something new!
