Hannah's 1st Cross Country Meet: OBU Invitational

Hannah had her very first Cross Country meet on the 2nd.  It was the OBU Invitational in Arkadelphia.  We were able to meet up with Mom, Dad, Wes, and Jeff there as well.  It is about half way between Texarkana and Bryant so it was perfect for Mom and Dad to get to come.  Wes just happened to be home that weekend and was able to come with them.

I am so glad her buddy, Taylor, is running Cross Country too.  That has definitely made it more fun for Hannah.

The line of Junior girls just about ready to take off.  There were 161 girls from various schools in 7th-9th grade competing.

I got at least one picture of her in the middle of the race, and she was all smiles!  It was a 2 mile run.

Home stretch.  You wouldn't believe how hard and fast the girls come in that last bit before the finish line.  They sprint.

SO proud of her!!!!  She came in 81 out of 161 so right about in the middle.  Not bad at all for her first meet!  Her time was 17:21.93.  Bryant Jr. Girls ended up getting 1st place at this meet.

Afterwards, we all headed over to Cracker Barrel for lunch.  Ledger was one tired boy.

Mom's birthday is on the 5th so we celebrated it while we were all together.  I got her some of her favorite candy and a book.
