Other September Stuff

Here are some random pics from the rest of the month.

Ledger is getting better and better at using a fork.  He was forking his peas.

These little night time snuggles are the best.

We received this very special note from Hannah's Cultural Development teacher, Mrs. Cyr.  Boy did it make us proud.  It actually came at a much needed moment too.  The teenage years are proving to be quite challenging, and we were having some challenging times right about this time.  It was just nice to see that Hannah was being recognized for being such a leader.

I actually got a text from her Social Studies teacher not too long after getting this note.  He said he just wanted to let me know how much he had enjoyed having Hannah in his class.  He said she had easily been one of his best students, that she had shown all the traits that parents want their children to show and that he knew that started at home.  God knew I needed to hear these things because I was seriously doubting myself and my parenting abilities.  I was amazed at his perfect timing!  Very proud of our Hannah.

Always reading.

This was the first time I put him in his boots.  He liked them.

We go for walks some days before nap time.

He is always getting into my cabinets and making messes.  That is just what they do at this age though.

He cracks me up.  When I think he is acting like he needs to go poop and I ask him, he will go get his potty chair.

My shopping buddy.

We were experimenting with his hair for his Halloween costume.

This picture is so funny.  Ledger was having a hard time going to sleep one Sunday afternoon.  Hannah went in to have a go at rocking him.  A little while later I hear him on the monitor jabbering and I go in to get him to find this.  She is fast asleep in his bed!!!!!  Poor thing.  She was up at 4:30 a.m. the morning before for a Cross Country meet and went to a sleepover the next night at a friends house.  I guess she was just exhausted!!  Bless her!!

Reading a book with Daddy.

He loves bathtime.

Mr. Engineer building a fort with a pallet and tape, of course.  Ha!

Playing on the playground at Chick-fil-a.

Uncle Wes wasn't here long, but Ledger made sure to get in a quick book read while he could!  So cute!

Didn't know we had a puppy dog did ya?

Or a kaola?

Pictures Hannah took from the City Life Class at church.

I couldn't resist.  He is lucky I didn't post it on Facebook.

Hannah had Mass Band night on Friday night.  All the middle school bands got to get on the field with the high school band.  Bryant has a HUGE band program, and it is apparently a really, really good one.  I sure hope she sticks with it.

She is in there somewhere amongst the trumpets!

Last but not least, a couple of pictures of the land.  We are still waiting on Deano, who works with Kris, to be able to get out there and start cleaning it up and digging up the stumps.  Who knows when it will happen.  We are trying to be patient and hoping for a good deal.  ;-)
