Father's Day 2018

For Father's Day this year, the kids painted a hammer for Kris.  They each painted a section however they wanted.  He had recently broken a hammer out at the shop so I thought this would be appropriate and kind of useful too!

Kris is a great dad who shows his kids both the silly and serious sides of life.  He makes us laugh with his antics and loves to say things to embarrass (make them laugh ultimately) them in front of their friends.

Then, there is the side that is a hard worker and can teach them so much.  The boys especially are lucky to have a dad who can fix just about anything.  They can learn a lot from him.

Most importantly, they are blessed to have a dad who serves others and the Lord.  He is an amazing example of this especially with his work at church.  He's a great 4th grade Bible class teacher and just has a way of getting at the heart of a matter.  I could go on and on.

It is pretty obvious where Kris gets much of who he is.  This guy right here.  They are alike in many ways--sense of humor, work ethic, ability to fix anything, as well as service to others and the Lord.

And last but not least, there is my Dad.  I am not sure how this happened, but I married a guy much like my own dad.  They enjoy doing many of the same things especially when it comes to the outdoors.  This is wonderful!  My dad is also a servant.  He has always been one to lend an ear, give an encouraging word, or help out when needed whether it was a neighbor or up at the church.

We are a blessed family for sure.  Happy Father's Day to all the dads in my life!  God is good!
