Back in May we started working on getting our house ready to sell!! Yippee!! The time had finally come! We were moving forward with our dream of building our dream house!!!!
It started with a LOT of decluttering. You can't take good pictures of your house to try to sell it with tons of stuff cluttering it up. I went room by room and packed things up. We made MANY trips to the shop where we are storing everything.
Most of the pictures are just for me to remember our home for the last 10 years. We moved in here in June 2008.
Ledger's Room. I love his nursery!
The back yard. I worked hard to pull all the weeds in this area. It looked so much better!
At this point, we took these pictures because we had the yard looking good. We just hadn't had time to get the mildew off the siding quite yet.
We have done a whole lot of work on this back yard to get it looking this way. The grass looked so good!
We finally got around to cleaning off the mildew.
During this time, I came across this verse, Proverbs 24:27, in my daily bible reading. It was just so spot on right now, I took a picture of it because I wanted to remember. I totally felt like God was speaking to me.
Our kitchen. We have done a lot in here as well. We had the cabinets painted, changed out the hardward, got new appliances, new sink, new counter top, new back splash, updated the lighting, and put in lighting under the cabinets.
We updated the laundry room too. Kris put in the cabinets and the removable shelf.
The master bedroom. We updated it by getting new carpet (in all the bedrooms actually), scraping the popcorn ceiling, paint, and new light fixture.
Master bath. We pretty much overhauled it.
Office. We scraped the ceiling and painted in here.

Living room and dining room. We took down a chair rail, painted, updated lighting, and redid the fireplace and tile around it.
I call this the pantry, but it could be considered a mud room too. We put in new floor and painted.
I loved having an extra fridge and freezer in here!
We put our house on the market on June 23rd by putting pictures up on Facebook and Zillow as well as a For Sale by Owner sign in the yard and around the neighborhood.
***Update as of October 8, 2018
We officially had an offer about 3 1/2 weeks later and closed on the house on August 20th. We moved out completely on the 18th and are in an apartment in WLR not far from PV until we finish our house!
God showed up in a big way working all this out. We "finished our outdoor work and got our fields ready" and now we are ready to "build our house."
