So, there is a shadow on all these pictures. I think it makes me look bigger than I already am. I'm feeling huge and I have 10 weeks to go. Today while taking Lincoln to Chickfila, I was holding his hand walking across the drive-thru lane to go inside. I had my keys and a $20 bill in the other hand. I went to lock my car door and let go of my $20! It went flying away down the pavement next to the drive-thru!!! I screamed, held on to Linc, and ran to try to catch it before it completely got away from me! I finally got it. Man would I have been upset if I'd lost that thing. But I couldn't help but totally laugh at myself--this big ole pregnant lady with a kid in tow sprinting after a run-away $20 bill! Everyone in the long line at the drive-thru had to have seen me. It was quite comical. I ran alot of errands today and am extremely sore down low. I really think a huge reason was because I ran. If it weren't for this silly soreness all the time, I'd feel awesome!
I went to the doctor on Wednesday. Everything looked fine. I'm measuring around 30 weeks and we heard the heartbeat again. I gained 4 lbs!!! I laughed because I have only been gaining about 3 lbs every 4 weeks and I go this time after 2 weeks and have gained 4lbs. I really think eating all of my mother-in-law's wonderful cooking last weekend probably contributed to that weight gain!! I will say my appetite has increased, but it seems like after I eat I am so full, I'm miserable for a little while. Oh well, you gotta gain weight. That's part of being pregnant! I want this little guy to be strong and healthy!
I've been working on more room decor the last few days. I hope to get that done soon. My mom is going to help me make a bed skirt for Hokie's bed. Once I get these last couple of things done, I can get everything hung on the walls and will post some pictures of the boys' room.
Lincoln said a funny thing to me today that I wanted to remember. We were driving along and out of the blue, he said "Mom, when the baby comes out , they'll be a big hole in your tummy." I just laughed! It is so funny to me how his little mind works sometimes. Hannah, on the other hand, doesn't really talk about the baby too much. I think she is just preoccupied with other things. This girl LOVES to draw and write. She will spend hours in her room some days doing this. Lately she has been trying to write books. She tries to write words and it is so neat to see her really trying so hard to read and write. She's going to do great in Kindergarten! We register her on Tuesday! I can't believe this!!!
Hokie, I just can't wait for you to come and meet your brother and sister! You are going to love them--and I know they will love you! I can't wait to call you by your real name and let everyone know what that is!!! Ha! I can't wait to see who you will look like and hold you. 10 weeks seems like forever, but I know it will go by fast!
This week Hokie is about 16 inches long and weighs about 3 lbs (like a head of cabbage).

Zoo Trip with Hannah's Class
Yesterday Hannah's class went to the zoo. Lincoln and I went along. Hannah enjoyed being with her little friends.
Hannah is such a great picture taker. As long as she's in a good mood, she will really smile for me and pose.
Too cute. Hannah with her friend, Alyssa.
I just had to take a picture of this bear. He was so ugly, he was cute.
Grandma and Grandad's
This past weekend we went for a much needed visit to Grandma and Grandad's. I don't think we had been there since Christmas. We were past due for a visit! Grandma had the kids' Easter baskets all ready to hand out when we got there.
Hannah got this fun Crayola cookie kit. Lincoln's favorite part was probably all the candy. He ate candy non-stop the whole weekend! Probably explains his WILD behavior!
They both got little chicks that chirp.
It seems like nearly every time we go to Grandma and Grandad's the weather is not the greatest. We knew the rain was coming so we got outside on Saturday morning before the weather got bad. The kids enjoyed picking dandelions.

Hannah has totally gotten over her fear of dogs. Lincoln, on the other hand, not so much. He was fine unless Rocky decided he wanted to walk over to him. However, he did enjoy watching Rocky chase balls and bring them back to Grandad.
Grandma and Grandad had a bunch of baby calves. They had been bottle feeding them, but we came a few weeks late and missed out on that fun! Hannah wasn't scared at all to be in the pin with them or pet them.
Lincoln finally braved up a bit.
Cousin Harley (once known as Isabel--she decided she wanted to be called by her middle name) came out with her Dad for a visit. She and Hannah played great together and had such fun. They didn't really want Lincoln to play with them much, so Grandma broke out this bug game for them all to play. They had to use fly swatters and hit the bugs.
Kris decided he is going to sell some of our cows and calves. So, he and his dad tried really hard to sort and carral them. They worked and worked and never were quite successful. I'm sure Grandad was able to get it done though. Wish we could have stayed longer! Lincoln is still talking about his Grandad!

29 weeks
On Tuesday I was 29 weeks. Not too much different going on this week. Just getting bigger and bigger. Hokie is about 2 1/2 lbs which is about the weight of a butternut squash! He is a little over 15 inches from head to heel! I'm really feeling him kick or punch me quite a bit. I go back to the doctor next Wednesday. Can't believe I'm already down to 2 week visits!

Our weekend outside!
We spent practically the whole weekend outside that past weekend. Kris had a couple of projects to work on and so the kids and I helped a little and played alot!
First of all, Kris decided he wanted to trim all the branches off the trees along our fence row in the back yard. We have horrible drainage back there, which we hope to fix eventually. So, cutting down all the branches hanging down from the trees really will help the sun be able to dry the ground up better. Now to do this little job, he had to climb up on a huge ladder.
He spent Friday night till dark and Saturday till about 4 p.m. working on these trees. He was so worn out. Just so I can remember the HUGE difference his hard work made, here are some before and afters.

Or ABOVE the ladder as in this picture.
He had to even stand ON some branches! Yes, I was a nervous wreck!

The kids had a absolute blast playing in the back yard. They were so cute that I couldn't stop taking pictures of them. They both love to swing. Hannah has just really learned to swing herself and Lincoln can not be pushed enough. They played in the little tree house part of the swing set quite a bit. Once I heard Lincoln say when he didn't get his way, "I'm not your friend anymore." I believe Hannah picked this little saying up at school and has used it on her brother several times. Now he has started saying it. What was so funny to me was that the next sentence that came out of his mouth was "I love you Han." They really played well together all weekend and seemed to settle most of their little disputes themselves. I just love how Lincoln calls his sister Han. So cute!
Besides playing in the sandbox alot, they went around collecting all kinds of things in their bowls and buckets--flowers, leaves, rocks, tree bark, etc.
We had lunch outside on their little picnic table. Lincoln was trying to make some kind of face for me here.
So happy! Loving every minute!
They even helped their daddy pick up limbs and put them in the wheel barrow to clean up the back yard.
Finally around 2:30 I decided to see if they wanted to come in and watch a movie so they could rest. They had been outside since 9:00 a.m. and I knew that they would not want to take naps.
It didn't take Lincoln long to fall asleep on his own. He was so tired! My plan worked!
They went back out later and stayed out till after supper. Kris put in a couple of drains on the other side of our house to try to get the water to flow better off our down spouts. That night we grilled kabobs. The weather was perfect. What a great day! This is the big pile of limbs that are in our front yard right now. The city is supposed to come and pick it all up in a week or so.
