Fourth of July Weekend

We went to KC over the Fourth of July weekend this year.  We left on Wednesday afternoon and got there late that night.  Thursday was just spent hanging out around the house, playing, and working around the farm.

Layton and his daddy.  Is that not the cutest thing both in their rubber boots!?

Hannah and Isabel.  Isabel had spent the week with Grandma and she could hardly wait for Hannah to get there!  They love each other!!!

Grandma, Lindsey, and Carol just chillin.

Lindsey made cupcakes to take to a Fourth of July party that night.  She let Layton do a little decorating.

Hannah, Lindsey, Carol, and I got in the festive mood and painted our fingernails and toenails in honor of the Fourth!

Hannah and I had our hair done in a waterfall braid by Carol!  So pretty!

Before we went to KC, the kids and I made them some flag shirts.  I saw the idea on Pinterest.  They turned out SUPER cute!  I just loved them!  We may turn them into keepsake pillows eventually!  I loved that idea too!  I tried to take their picture before we left to go to a party with Grandma and Grandad's church.  These are so funny, I had to include them all.  This is what it is like to try to get a good picture of all three.

SUCCESS!!!

I wanted a couple after we got to the party too.

We went to the Paynes' house for a cookout, to swim, and to watch fireworks.

We took a few family photos before it got too dark!  We were missing Logan, Mona and her boys, and Kurt and his family!

Aren't they cute?!

Totally know where Kris gets this!!!  Ha!  He does it to me every single time we take a picture together.

Trying to get one of our family.  Trying...

Hilarious!

Not too bad!!

Carol, Lindsey, and Les.  They are awesome!!

Such a sweet picture of Lindsey and Hannah.  I love it so much.

Les with the crazy boys.

Me and my girl.  ;)

Time for fireworks!  Love their faces!!

Part of the next day was spent working on the farm.  The guys had baled hay previously and so Kris took each of the boys out on the tractor to bring the bales in.  They just eat this up.

The rest of our day was spent at a Kansas City Royals baseball game.  But before we left, we had to stop and watch Grandad bale some more hay.

This was the kids on the way to the game!  Passed out.

My ball cap nachos.  They were delicious.

Cheering on the Royals!

Afterwards was an awesome fireworks show!  Capped off a GREAT night!!

The next day we had some homemade vanilla ice cream with blueberries and strawberries and worked and played some more.  Fun fun times with our family!!!
