Day 1 - Downtown Disney

We stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter.  It was landscaped so beautifully.  The people were super friendly and helpful.  We were greeted when we came in the door and someone was there waiting for us and personally got us checked-in to the resort and all set to go.  The service was amazing.

One thing that was so great about the resort was that it had a food court.  So, we were able to use it for breakfast or a meal if we needed to.  The food was great and there was plenty of variety.

The Beignets were a favorite of ours.  They were delicious!

After getting settled in, we headed to Downtown Disney.  We were able to hop on a boat right at our hotel and it took us there.

We walked around and shopped and got a little taste of Disney on this first day.

Of course we had to stop at the Lego Store.  We were amazed at the sculptures made out of Legos that surrounded the store.  I can't imagine what Legoland would be like!

For supper we had reservations to eat at T-Rex.  It was a great choice!  Such a fun atmosphere and the food was yummy!!

I had to take pictures of the desserts. I love that with the menu plan you got to have a dessert with every table service meal!!

After dinner and walking around a bit more, Layton just couldn't stay awake any longer.  It had been a long day of travel and site-seeing.  We headed back to the resort and could hardly wait for Magic Kingdom the next day!
