Land Update

We have done A LOT of work on the land this month.  Here it all is by date so we can remember the progression.

January 5th

The land had just been sitting there for quite some time looking a mess.  We know that our neighbors were anxious for it to be cleaned up, but we were at the mercy of the people we were getting to do it.  When their equipment and time freed up, we had some guys from the site work company that Huffman uses to come out and clean things up. They dug up stumps and made piles to burn.

January 13th

Mom and Dad were able to come out and look at the progress one weekend.

This picture was taken from the back of the property looking towards the road.

January 18th

Finally started to burn some of the piles.

January 19th

Things were really starting to look good!

They were able to burn some of the brush, but needed some dirt as well.  So, they dug some holes and filled them back in with some of the brush.  Then, they were able to use the dirt to spread around and level things off in places.

January 21st

They used quite a bit of dirt in the front to level things as well as make the house and work shop pads.

A little boy's dream!!!

We are just so excited about the progress!!!

January 23rd

They had spread all of that big dirt pile out and it made a huge difference.

January 25th

This was a huge hole back in the back of the property where they dug up some shale to use to make a driveway and the house and work shop pads.

January 27th

House pad!!

January 31st

The driveway was starting to take shape.

We couldn't be more excited or more pleased with the progress!!
