Easter Weekend

Since we didn't get to go to Texarkana for Spring Break, we decided to go Easter weekend.  Kris took off on Good Friday and we headed down Thursday night after Lincoln's t-ball practice.  On Friday Uncle Jeff shared his toys with us.  Ha!  He had gotten several remote control helicopters and he and the kids had a blast messing around with them--in the house and out!

Poor Dash had to be tied up while this was going on, but when he wasn't, he just loved being free to run, run, run!

Well, the biggest kid of all decided these helicopters were so much fun that he had to have his own.  So, he went and got himself one.  Boys!

The weather was so nice while we were home and so the kids got to be out a lot.

Pappaw had to go to Greenville to get some fertilizer, but when he got home, Layton was SO excited to see him--and vice versa!!

The emu next door fascinated Dash and he would chase him back and forth and back and forth.

Mom and Dad have their garden going and Mom picked some lettuce and broccoli that we had while we were there.

Their peaches are growing and hopefully the blackberries will be good this year too!  Excited!!

Mom has got some of the most beautiful flowers growing all over their yard.  She just loves flowers!  I just had to take a few pictures.

Of course we had to get in a little 4-wheeler ridin' while we were there too.

Men and fires.  What is it with men and fires?  Kris loves them.

We took Lincoln's t-ball stuff and played a bit.  Layton is so funny wearing Linc's helmet.  He always puts it on wrong.  Ha!

On Saturday my aunts and cousins and their kids came over for lunch and an Easter egg hunt.  Not everyone was there this year, but there were still a lot of kiddos.  This is Eric, Jaxon, and Linc playing soccer together.  The kids just played and played outside all afternoon.  They had so much fun together!

Then it was Easter egg hunting time.  We hid a bunch of eggs!

We had a great time with our family!  Easter morning the Easter Bunny brought the kids stuff for their Easter baskets.

They each got something related to bugs.  Hannah loved her bug locket and brought it home full of doodle bugs. :)

Mini Lego sets were also in Hannah's and Lincoln's basket.  Lincoln's was Harry Potter.

 Mimi and Pappaw got the kids a couple of things too.  Layton was excited to get candy!

We had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with all the family!!!
