Bunko this month was very different from the norm. Thanks to Pinterest we decided to do a Favorite Things Bunko. Everyone brought 5 items that were their "favorite thing"--each item being the same item. You couldn't spend more than $6 for each item. When we got to Angela's house, who was hosting, we had delicious soups and snacks and then the fun began!
Everyone put their name in a pot 5 times. We started with Carrie and worked our way around the room. Carrie told what her favorite thing was and then drew 5 names out of the bowl. Obviously she couldn't get her own or a duplicate name. Then, she passed out her 5 items to those 5 people. She brought her favorite under wear! Ha!
We did this for most all the group until it dawned on us that Kelly wasn't getting her name drawn and so she was going to end up with her own items. Well, we all died laughing when we realized that what we should have done was all draw 5 names at the beginning and then everyone go around the room and explain their item and hand them out. SO, we had to start all over!!! It was the funniest thing! Some of us didn't end up with the same things that we had gotten originally. It really didn't matter because they were all great!
Group picture! Love these girls!!!
This was what I came home with: A sock filled with rice to warm up your bed at night, an ornament filled with chocolate covered sunflower seeds, a drying mat, a $5 gift card to Chickfila, and a Christmas dip bowl. Other favorite things that people brought were a to-go coffee mug, lip gloss from Victoria Secret, Starbucks gift cards, and a note pad (the person loves to make lists) with their favorite taco soup recipe along with their favorite taco seasoning. I brought a Systema lunch box that folds up from the Container Store. My kids use it to take their lunch. It's kind of like a Bento box.
We all loved it so much and had so much fun, my guess is that it will become a yearly tradition!!!
