Jingle Bell Run 2011!

The Jingle Bell Run/Walk this year was GREAT!  We were team Hannah's Helpers again.  We had 59 team members and raised $1,885 plus another $2,000 from some big donations that didn't get added into our team total.  We are so thankful for the amazing support we have gotten throughout the years!

As usual, we have to get the kids' pictures all dressed up before the race.  Hannah's and Lincoln's outfits still fit from last year and I found the same outfit Layton wore last year again at Crackerbarrel.  What cuties!

This year was different (but better) for several reasons.  One of the children's ministers at church decided to make the Jingle Bell Run kind of an act of service for the Faith In Action class that Hannah is in on Sunday nights.  So, we got the Arthritis Foundation to give them a bit of a discount on the cost.  Hannah got to have a few of her church friends walk with her to show their support this year, which was neat.  The location for the race was also different this year.  Instead of being at the River Market, it was at the Clinton Presidential Library grounds.  This made for a beautiful walk and view and much more room to move about.  Lastly, we got to bring Dash along with us this year.  He was a HUGE hit with just about everyone.  More on that in a minute.
They always have Santa there and the funny thing is, it has been the same guy just about every year.  I love how he wears sunglasses.  He is very good with the kids and walked around and talked with them and hugged them.  When it was time to sit in his lap, though, Layton was not too happy.  We tried to get Dash in the picture too but it was just too complicated.  Ha!
So, Santa wanted to get a picture with just Dash.  Hilarious!

Family picture!
Ms. Julie, who works with Kris, took care of Layton for a while.  He discovered he LOVES oranges and ate I don't know how many of them apparently.

They had face painting this year and a bounce house too for the kids.  Lincoln was showing me his face.
We were blessed to have quite a few people actually come to the race!  That is always so encouraging!  Thanks to everyone for coming!  You are awesome!
Hannah with her buddies, Hannah B and Emma.  So glad these girls came!
This was all the kids--minus a few babies!
These were all the Faith In Action kids from church.  We appreciate Tina so much for trying to involve Hannah's church class.  I know it meant something to Hannah too.
The always faithful, Uncle Jeff.  He loves Hannah and she loves him!  Thanks Uncle Jeff for always being there!  We love you!
I messed up and didn't get each families' picture like I have in the past.  It was too hectic.  I did get a couple.  Here are the Dyniewski's.
Angie and Bennett.  Trey was probably getting ready to run!
Sweet Eden!  She brought her new baby sister, Harper, this year!
Dash was so spoiled.  He is not great on the leash yet.  So we had several people offer to carry him.  Ha!
Kris and Jimmy.  What a HUGE blessing to have such a wonderful boss that would not only give to the cause but come out and support it/us as well.  I KNOW that means so much to Kris!
The walk this year was only a mile instead of the whole 5K like in the past.  I was kind of disappointed in myself.  I said last year that I was going to run the 5K this year.  However, I started training for it back in the early fall, but Kris' schedule has made it really hard to find time to run (he leaves really early in the morning to go to work) as well as it gets dark so early in the evenings now.  So, my plans fell through.  Hopefully, I can do it next year!  I have joined a gym and have worked it out with Kris where I can go early in the mornings 3 mornings a week at least.  We shall see...
The building in the background is the Heifer International building.  They had animals out for us to pet as we walked by.
Sweet baby Harper with her Daddy!
Such a pretty walk with all the newly planted trees along the way.
Love this picture of Hannah and her friends.
We didn't bring our wagon/sleigh this year.  Lincoln hopped a ride with Pappaw!  Not sure what I would have done without Mimi and Pappaw being there to help with the kids!  Thank y'all SO much!!
The back of the kind of ugly Clinton Library.  It really looks like a trailor park trailor.  Oh well.  The bridge in the background was cool.  The runners got to run over it.

Eden and Harper sitting with Santa.
More fun after the walk was over!
Dash was tuckered out!!!!  We went to Chick-fil-a after the race to get lunch and he was fast asleep in his crate before we even got there.

After the race they always hand out the awards to the runners, give out some prizes, and have some contests.  We put the kids up there for the best costume contest and it came down to them and this little baby dressed in a Santa outfit.  They gave it to the baby, but it was close. :)  We also put Dash in for the best dog costume.  It came down to him and a dog that belonged to this year's honoree.  Craig O'Neal gave it to the other dog because he said that Dash was so young, he could come back next year.  It was funny.  We all couldn't believe how many people liked Dash.  He IS a cutie!

We had a great time!  The weather was good, our friends and family were there, and most of all, Hannah is healthy!!  Praise God!!!
