Lincoln's Book Character Parade

Yesterday was Lincoln's Book Character Parade at school.  They bring a book to school and dress up as a character in the book.  They parade around for all the parents to see.  It is super cute.  There were some really creative characters too!  Lincoln took the book How Do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food.  We lucked out and had some dragon pjs (that looked a lot like a dinosaur), so it was pretty easy and cheap. :)
Lincoln with some of his class.
I couldn't help it.  I had to take pictures of a few costumes that I thought were awesome.  This little girl was adorable with filled socks for legs attached to her oversized green sweat shirt.  I think her book was The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
This was one of the teachers.  She was the coconut tree from  Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
This was my favorite.  This little girl's Momma made her "Thing 2" wig by sewing a turquoise feather boa around a ski hat and filling the top of the hat with batting to make it stand up.  So creative and ADORABLE!!

They do this to promote reading.  They read every kid's book that day.  The kids love it!
