Trick or Treat!

Halloween was a blast this year!!!  This year Hannah was a black cat, Lincoln was Batman, and Layton was a kangeroo.  The big kids were raring to go Halloween night.  Before we got started, we had to get their pictures together.

Hannah was so funny when she was having her picture taken.  She was posing so that she made sure I got her tail.  She liked her tail.

Carrie had invited us to come over to their neighborhood and trick-or-treat with them, the Rainbolts, and the Bittles. We have 3 different widow ladies that live all around us and I wanted to make sure we stopped by their houses before heading to be with our friends.  They all love to see the kids all dressed up and usually have special bags ready for them.

Layton was just doing as he was told here.  Later, though, he really was getting the hang of it.
Ms. Tommy, next door, gave them all candy and a dollar.  They thought that was so cool!
Once we got together with our buddies, the real fun began.  Their subdivision goes all out for Halloween.  I have never seen so many trick or treaters.  It was crazy!!  Even the adults were getting in on the fun.  Many of them were dressed up along with their kids and alot of the people handing out candy were sitting in front of their front door in costume.  The kids went from house to house to house.
By this time, Layton would walk up and stick out his hand for the candy.  He was too cute!
Sweet Lucy, the peacock.  Loved her costume!!!
The little kids getting candy from a man dressed up like a fireman.
Super heroes Jack and Lincoln were posing it up.

This house was nuts.  There was a line wrapped around right in front of the house and in front of the house at the street to get to the candy.  The yard was filled with people dressed up like dead people, rolling all over the ground, grabbing at you as you passed by.  These people were serious about Halloween.  I was trying to imagine what the kids were thinking as they stood in line to get their candy.  They were all watching the zombies pretty closely.  Guess it didn't affect them too much.  They made it through.
This was the year of the super hero!!!  Ha!  These boys were so cool--Jackson, Lincoln, and Jack.  Love them!!!
The whole gang (minus Molly and Harper who went on home).  We had so much fun!!  Thanks, friends, for letting us trick or treat with you all!!
When we got home, we had to examine our loot!

Of course, we had to have a little too!  Layton enjoyed his bag of Skittles.
Lincoln and his candy.  This boy LOVES him some candy!!!
We have had the candy for a week now and I am ready for it to be gone!  I am eating too much of it and the kids are driving me crazy asking for some all the time.  I think it is time to send it to work with Daddy.  :-)
