Celebrating Hannah's 11th Birthday!

A couple of weeks after her actual birthday, we went to Dallas for a visit with Wes and to celebrate Hannah.  We spent the night with Mimi and Pappaw that Friday night and then got up the next morning and drove to Dallas.  I got Hannah a nightgown with matching doll gown and she had to show it off.

In Dallas we spent some time walking around the Galleria before heading over to The American Girl store.

You would have thought she was in heaven.  She wanted to get her dolls ears pierced so we stood in line for that.

This was what the boys did while we waited. :-)

Then, the boys met up with Wes and went to Dave and Buster's for lunch/games.  Hannah, Mom, and I had reservations for lunch at AG.  It was the cutest thing.  We all really enjoyed it!  It was a real treat!

Our appetizers!

Our lunches!

She got a goodie bag of stuff and then chose to decorate some cupcakes for her dessert.

Mom and I enjoyed this baby.

Then, she got to go shopping.  She got Grace (her 2nd doll) and a bunch of other stuff.  She was one happy girl.

I LOVE that we did this together and I LOVE that Hannah is still into American Girl.  I know it probably won't last much longer, so while it does I will treasure it.  She is getting so big.  Growing up so fast.  I wish she could stay a little girl forever.

A few things about Hannah at this age that I want to remember:

**She definitely has her own fashion sense and picks out all of her clothes.  She is pretty picky about clothes and can frustrate this momma by wearing the same things over and over again while she has a closet full of other great clothes!  Trying to just let her be, but I have a hard time sometimes!

**She is really into bows again.  Lately she has gotten into the huge ones.  She does her own hair most of the time.  She wants her hair to grow out long again and does not want to even get a trim!

**Her best friends are Kenzie, Madison (used to be our neighbor), and Ava (from school).

**She keeps the messiest room!!!

**She loves to craft and sew.  The floor of her room is almost always covered in craft materials (or dirty clothes).

**She has gotten into running lately and seems to be enjoying that.

**She loves music and loves to sing.

**Hannah enjoys reading and makes really good grades at school.  She ran for student council reporter and won.  She really surprises us sometimes with how out going she can be.

**She loves little kids.  She planned a lesson for our Life Group kids one night and taught the little ones.  She is definitely a leader at church and at school.

We are so proud of the young lady she is becoming.  What a blessing she is to our family!!  Love you Hannah!!
