New Basketball Season for Lincoln

Well, we were a bit disappointed that Lincoln was not able to do Upward basketball this year.  The church that has held it for the past several years didn't do it this year.  The nearest program was all the way in LR so we were kind of forced to do the Park and Rec's program.  It is very different.  The boys are playing full court ball with all the real rules and the goal is 10 foot instead of 7.  That is a big difference for an 8 year old.

This league is also a lot more competitive.  I was hoping we could stay away from that as long as possible, but oh well.  Hopefully, Lincoln can learn alot, improve his skills, but most of all have a blast.  He really enjoys basketball.

Kris and I missed his first game due to Kris' company Christmas party being on the same night.  Mom and Dad came up and were able to take him to it though.  His second game we got to go to.  They played a pretty good little team and lost 16 to 8, but I know Lincoln had so much fun.  He never wants to leave when it is over.  He just wants to keep shooting on the court.  :-)

This is Lincoln and one of our neighbors, Pierce.  They were playing against each other.

Lincoln got fouled in this game and got to shoot 2 free throws.  He made one and missed one.

Looking forward to a great season!!
